1. Who are you? Mia, friend of Jon
2. Are we friends? I think we're on the road to that destination
3. When and how did we meet? A week or two ago I friended you because I had read your comments on Jon's journal and you seemed neat.
4. Do you have a crush on me? I think you would be a very easy person to develop a crush on, and I could definitely see that happening.
5. Would you kiss me? Not just yet, but I can imagine wanting to at some point.
6. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it. Snookums, because it's a term of affection I frequently use as a placeholder until I find something more personally appropriate.
7. Describe me in one word. Comforting
8. What was your first impression of me? That you were intelligent, witty, and generous
9. Do you still think that way about me now? Yep, and I'm sure my impressions will expand soon
10. What reminds you of me? At the moment, Studio Ghibli material
11. If you could give me anything what would it be? An introductory hug, if you'd let me.
12. How well do you know me? Strictly speaking, hardly at all, but something about you resonates with me.
13. When's the last time you saw me? Not yet
14. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't -- and what is it? Nope, but I suspect you'll be a good person to tell things to
15. Are you going to post this and see what I say about you? Already read your responses to me...

Snookums? Snookums? *facepalms* Ooohhhh, that's gonna be tough to live down...

Hm. Comforting. Well, I can see that - though I'm minded of the fact that comforting isn't necessarily the same thing as comfortable.

As for that introductory hug, I think that can be accomodated... *grin* Yes, my sense of humor is frequently odd.

No, not at all the same as comfortable. Comforting. Like a warm blanket and a cup of hot cocoa on a windy day.

*Chuckle* Well, I certainly didn't expect to come to work today and wind up calling you. Glad it happened, though - I've been halfway tempted to try looking you up, and this way it happened without any connivance on my part.

As to whether or not we've actually met yet, I don't think so. If we had, I think the voice would have tipped me off. *Laugh* If we have, the odds are it was in line at the cafeteria.

Hm... "puzzle". I like that - I really do. Tell you what, though: if you do manage to figure me out, I'd appreciate you dropping me a few clues. I've been working on that particular conundrum for years...

  1. Jon, or Beau, as the whim suits
  2. Yes, my friend, we are: while not the oldest friend I have, you are one of--if not the--closest I have ever had
  3. I have what passes for my attempts at writing to thank for that: if I never pen another word, I can honestly say that fiction has improved my life
  4. Intellectually and psychologically? Yes. I want to make brain-babies with you. Emotionally? I suppose so: you're the undernote to my bouquet: you fulfill me in a way that almost no-one else in my life ever has. Sexually? No, not really. Admittedly, you have a cute face, but I feel too close to you to have a crush on you 'that way', if that makes any sense
  5. Only if you asked me to, and I thought I could get away with it. Hm. Guess that would be a 'tentative yes' (^_~)
  6. No: you defy nicknames, my friend
  7. Superlative
  8. That you were a mind-bendingly intense intellectual with a blistering sense of sarcastic humor
  9. Oh yes, with more added to the mix ...
  10. Clouds right before a thunderstorm: so much potential, so much raging energy, just waiting to be released: I want to watch the storm, and I pray that the lightning is pointed away from me
  11. The wherewithal to write for a living
  12. I'd like to think I know you fairly well: you're a closed book in many respects, but I'm learning to read between the lines of the pages I've seen, and more chapters keep opening themselves to me: that's a precious gift, in my opinion
  13. Last Friday/Saturday: too damn long ago, if you ask me ... why, oh why, didn't you just move in? I could deal with one cat, I suppose ...
  14. There have been a few things, but you know most of my sordid little story: I just have to pen the index, and you'll have the whole
  15. Already have, my friend

*Raises eyebrow* A cute face? *Shrug* If you say so; as far as I'm concerned, it's something good for hanging off the front of my head, but it doesn't strike me as anything special. I guess because I look at it just about every day. But I think I agree with the rest of it pretty much straight down the line.

Heh. I've certainly tried all my life to defy them; I think the closest I come right now is a friend at work who constantly greets me as "SuperDave!" *Shrug* I don't have the heart to verbally smack him down for it; he's married, you know, with children.

I don't think you have to worry about the lightning, m'friend: you carry your own share of that, and it gets interesting when it starts feeding back. Sometimes that can be explosive and destructive, but it can be worth the risk for the times when everything meshes and it takes you to a whole new level...
